Mr Theodossy is a Consultant Oral Surgeon who deals with the entire remit of Oral Surgery. His specialist interests include surgical removal of wisdom teeth; facial deformity (orthognathic surgery); treatment for temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ); dento-alveolar surgery; oral implants and bone grafting; sinus lifts; treatment for oral/facial trauma; oral medicine; treatment for facial pain; diagnosis and management of oral lumps and bumps, oral ulcerations and white patches.
In 1997, Mr Theodossy achieved his dental surgery degree with full honours from the University of Jordan before going on to supplement his expertise at the Eastman Dental Institute in London, where he gained a master’s degree with distinction in oral and maxillofacial surgery in 2000. His specialist oral and maxillofacial surgery training was undertaken at Great Ormond Street Hospital and University College Hospitals (UCLH) in London. He has held a variety of UK consultant posts since 2006, with his most recent post being as a Consultant Oral Surgeon for several private London hospitals.
The General Dental Council (UK) recognises Mr Theodossy as a ‘Specialist in Oral Surgery’ and the Jordanian Dental Association recognises him as a ‘Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery’.
His key professional memberships include: the British Association of Oral Surgeons, Jordanian Dental Association and the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (Fellow). As a member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MFDSRCS), he works as one of the college’s MFDS examiners.
Mr Theodossy speaks fluent Arabic. He has extensively published in national and international journals. He is also a reviewer for a number of Oral and Maxillofacial journals including the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
During lockdown, Mr Theodossy hosted a series of weekly Free Live Oral Surgery webinars. The webinars were very well attended and attracted practitioners from over 70 countries worldwide.
