Dr Mira Razzaque MBBS, FRCA (UK) FCARCSI (Ireland) has worked at The Royal London Hospital (Barts Health NHS Trust) as a Consultant Anaesthetist since December 1999 and has been listed on the General Medical Council’s (GMC) register for 30 years. She qualified as a doctor in 1989 from University College & Middlesex School of Medicine (now UCL Medical School) and has continued to live and work in London.
She specialises in the fields of anaesthesia and acute pain management in trauma, obstetrics, gynaecology, spinal and orthopaedic surgery, together with regional blocks and pre-operative assessment in outpatients clinics to advise and optimise the management of medical high-risk patients requiring surgery.
In addition to her main role at The Royal London Hospital, Dr Razzaque acts as a mentor and clinical supervisor for trainee anaesthetists. She is also a Consultant Appraiser for Barts Health NHS Trust and an examiner at The Royal College of Anaesthetists for the Final Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthesia (FRCA) examinations.
She works in the private sector as a Consultant Anaesthetist in London HCA Group Hospitals, The London Clinic, BMI The London Independent Hospital, The Weymouth Hospital and Harley Street Specialist Hospital.
